Willington Hills Summer Riding Program

2010 Full Day Sessions: July 5-9, July 12-16, July 27-31, Aug. 2-6 and Aug 9-13
2010 Half Day Sessions: July 19-23 and August 16-20

At camp children will be encouraged to become confident, knowledgable riders who are able to relate and understand horses with gentle,patient, and caring attitude.  This will be learned by experiencing various horse activities that will work to build a solid foundation on horse knowledge.  Watch as your child grows by leaps and bounds during their week at camp with our allowance of only 4 campers per week.

Activities Include:

Horseback Riding
Horse Breeds
Horse Anatomy
Equipment Seminar
Show preparation
Lunging
Horse painting
Horse bathing
Homemade horse treats
Cart Ride
Arts & Crafts

FULL DAY CAMP:
The cost is $375 per week. The program runs from 8am until 4pm Monday through Friday. Children should bring bagged lunches.

HALF DAY CAMP:
The cost is $200 per week. The program runs from 8am until noon. Bring a snack and a drink.

There is a limit of four children per session, so please reserve your place early! There is a $100 deposit required to reserve your spot, and the entire fee must be paid in full at least 2 weeks before the start of camp.

Children must be 8 years old or older.

Children should wear comfortable clothing which will be worn most of the day, and change into their riding clothes for lessons.

For riding, all children need to have boots with heels and long pants.

Children should bring bagged lunches (or snacks and drinks for half day sessions.)

At Willington Hills, we try to make riding as much fun as possible. We strive to be supportive and caring of all riders from beginners to advanced. All disciplines are encouraged, whether you are interested in showing or trail riding. Not only will you learn to ride, but you will learn to appreciate and love horses.
